News Round-up: New Kingston restaurant focusing on fresh, Apps for Healthy Kids contest

The owner and chef at Boitson's, at 47 Front St. in Kingston, are shopping local farmers markets to stock their kitchen. Read more in the Daily Freeman.

You can now vote for your favorite "app" created to help kids get healthy and active. The USDA selected 95 apps (the fun games made for iPhones and other devices) created by game designers and students to face off for $4,500 rewards. There's a total of $60,000 in prize money to be handed out. Test and vote on their favorite game by August 14 at www.AppsForHealthyKids.com.
