NYC Council Releases Blueprint for Food System Change

For the past year and a half, I have been researching food system issues and best practices and leading a working group of experts for an initiative called FoodWorks at the NYC Council. This initiative, led by Speaker Quinn, is the first of its kind in NYC history.On November 22nd, we released a comprehensive report that outlines 12 policy goals from production through post-consumption in the food system. For the past year, I have been working on a policy blueprint for the Speaker of the NYC Council, Christine Quinn. We have met with over 100 organizations and stakeholders in the city and surrounding food shed.
