I started this network because I meet so many people while reporting around the Hudson Valley who care about food. I've also met a lot of people who would care about food, if they only they could taste what's good for them and understand the issues.

I'd like this network to be a place where people can share a passion, but also where people new to the local food movement can ask questions and learn more.

HI Meghan,

I love what you are doing. Two questions- 1 is may I post a sale that Marbletown elementary is having on May 23rd (24th raindate). Lots of seedlings started by the kids include perennials, annuals, and edibles.

Also my husband and I are garden consultants & install edible gardens. Is that appropriate to post anywhere on this site?

Thanks-

Allyson

Hi Meghan!

Thanks for the welcome! I certainly remember chatting with you last summer!

We are having an event at the end of the month in Sullivan County - I posted it to my page and the details are up at purecatskills.com.

Thanks!

We were disappointed in the episode. We actually cooked (the vegetable portion) for Bourdain in Stony Point while someone else procured a local goat and slow roasted it right on the Hudson River and then had a great round table discussion about local food and farms in the area. Too bad it was more important to see Dakota Fanning's doppleganger rather than focus on the food and farms in the area.
