First Time Brewing Hard Cider + Cider Festival
Hello everyone. I have just found my way here and am looking forward to sharing and learning from all you wonderful folks. It's been a while since my last brew - some nectarine wine a few years back. So now I'm back on track and looking to start a batch of hard cider this very weekend (all equipment supplied by Party Creations in Red Hook). I recently had the good fortune to start working at an orchard so it seems like a good a time as any to try it for the first time.
If it's not too shameless a plug I though you might like to know about an upcoming event - The 1st Annual Hudson Valley Cider Festival on Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th Nov. 11am - 5pm in Stone Ridge, NY. I've attached the poster with all the details. If anyone wants to be involved then please get in touch. Otherwise please stop by!

Hello...,
I've been making cider for the last 3 years... getting ready to my 4th season.
Does stoneridge have cider available still?, and if so is it organic?
My normal source had a short yield this year and I was late getting to them. I was actually going to drive out to the cider festival in Franklin Mass tomorrow, an orchard there has a special bulk fill event for cider makers this weekend....great price... a few different blends. But if I could go local... that would be great.

Hi Paul,
there is still cider available. We're pressing twice a week, mainly to supply the various Farmers' Markets we attend. At the moment the blend depends on what apples are available and it differs from press to press. No bulk fill events on the horizon yet - deals are available depending on the quantities involved.
My 5 gallon bucket (mystery blend as I forgot to check in) is happily bubbling away I am pleased to announce.
