Not being from this area, I was curious as to what these odd bumpy berries were in neighbor yards and the local cemetary I pick up trash in because litter drives me nuts.  (BTW - if you need non-organic soil and plastic pots, dumpster dive cemetary trash cans! You would not believe what gets thrown away!)

Taking out my trusty wildlife identifying books, I realized it was mulberry!  Wow, we have tons of them here!

I don't can and have found some online recipes for other ways to eat them, but I wondered if any of you had personal favorites?  I think I will rinse them and freeze them for soy yogurt smoothies and maybe make some syrup?  If it stops being so hot, I may even bake a tart or two.
