Have any of you taken the "Preserving Food at Home" self study course available at National Center for Home Preservation website? Last autumn when I was having big time canning dreams I had come across their site, but I didn't notice the course until this year...
Oh, and it's free...you just have to sign up through UGA (University of Georgia)...just wondering if anyone out here has experience with it already, thoughts, ideas...I'll probably sign up for the course today if anyone wants to swap thoughts, etc...
The National Center for Home Preservation website is awesome in general, with tons of how-to information on the myriad of ways to preserve the season's bounty...here's the addy: http://www.uga.edu/nchfp/index.html#
I am going to sign up right now. We are very interested in learning to can, freeze and dry so we can enjoy foods all year that we have grown ourselves. Thanks for the site!
