We're hosting our Farm-To-Table dinner this Sunday, October 11, at 6:30 pm. Cocktails in the shop, & dinner in a beautifully tranformed greenhouse. As those of you who attended last year know, it's a unique event, unlike anything else you will do this year. An across the board panoply of all that we grow and raise here at the farm, as well as an opportunity to connect with other dedicated Hudson Valley Eaters! Ricotta w/ green zebra jam
Braised duck hearts w/ Madeira gelee
Radish w/ homemade butter and salt
Tomato soup w/ NY Cheddar gougers and duck tongue
Fall Vegetable and Greens Salad
With duck leg confit and pickled white beet vinaigrette
Salt roasted duck breast
w/ swiss chard, japanese turnips, and plum butter.
Winter squash and duck egg bread pudding and w/ cream anglaise and Thyme
Its now the morning after and I must say Veritas hosted a wonderful event. Despite the cold weather it was a truly beautiful evening spent eating wonderful food in their greenhouse. The chef and his CIA team prepared an outstanding feast. Stephanie decorated the greenhouse with fall harvest beauties (and yes, people were eating the grapes and pears in the center-piece)--Martha would be impressed! And Paul used power tools on winter squash for great effect! Wine was from Benmarl right nearby and I was surpised by how much I enjoyed,

Yum I LOVE duck anything so you can image how i'm sorry to have missed this! I love how you utilized just about every body part! Will you be having another farm to table dinner anytime soon?
