A group of Gardiner residents are starting a new farm market hosted by the Gardiner Library. The market will be every Friday from 4pm -8pm. We are looking for gardeners that may have more produce than they need or small farms that would like to join us. Even is you have more rhubarb than you ever need or too much garlic and only want to sell one thing let us know. It is fun to participate and share in the excitement of growing locally. We also want to have workshops on growing, composting, cooking, preserving...and many other wonderful things about food..... so if you are passionate about one and would like to have a workshop at the market let us know.

I am so happy to see this happening! As a member of the Gardiner library board of trustees and a local farmer I feel strongly that its this kind of synergy between the community and agriculture that creates the kind of bonds that benefit everybody. I would love to be there with our beef but unfortunately I am often out of town on Friday. If there is a vendor who would like to carry our product I would be happy to give them a percentage of each sale or work out some other form of compensation. Looking Forward!!
Hi Susan, I am sure we can work something out. My phone number is 255 0087. Give me a call and we can decide how you want to work it.
We do want it to be a community project ....all of us working together
Look forward to talking and meeting
Hi Anne,
Local markets are wonderful, really gives people a true "flavor" of the area and the special resources that are available. I am a local natural foods chef/counselor and would like to talk with you about doing some demo's at the market. You can see more about what I do on my website: www.anaturalchef.com
My # is 845-258-0136 if you want to set up a time to meet.
Looking forward to connecting with you,
Cathy
We would love to have you do a demo. I will call and look at your website. We hope to have as many people involved as possible. Our goal is to create a community that shares and supports each other as well as helping everyone to learn more about local food and the benefits for their health and the health of our world. Look forward to speaking with you.
Hi Susan
I know this is very late notice but was just wondering if you would be in town tomorrow for the Farm Market at the Gardiner library. Our regular meat vendor is out of town for two weeks and we would love to have some meat to offer our customers. The market has been well attended for only being open in a new location for two weeks. We feel good about the feel and the interest. Let me know if it will work for you this week or next.
I'm so sorry I haven't responded sooner to you! I guess I expected to somehow have a notification that someone had replied to this thread-not great with computers...
I would be honored to participate...I'll ring you tomorrow
Looking Forward!
Susan
