Learn how to successfully divide ornamental grasses and perennials and go home with some great new plants for your very own garden! Join Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ulster County’s (CCEUC) Master Gardeners in their award winning Xeriscape Garden on the SUNY Ulster Campus in Stone Ridge for two workshops this Spring!
There is a $5 fee per person, per workshop.
Pre-registration is required to participate. Please dress appropriately and bring pots or bags for your divisions. It is recommended to bring gardening gloves and tools such as pitch forks, spades and trowels. These workshops will take place rain or shine.
Perennial Division Workshop – learn how to divide your perennials. Bring pots and take home some divisions.

You will gain hands-on experience learning what to do and what not to do when it comes to dividing plants. Participants will work in small groups guided by Master Gardeners and leave with some prize divisions from the Xeriscape Garden. The Xeriscape Garden is an interactive teaching tool in the selection of heat tolerant, water-wise plants, integrated pest management and alternative landscaping techniques.
