Event Description

Join us for this month's full moon celebration at Slash Root. We will have a potluck at 7:00pm so bring some delicious treat, or just come and enjoy other's creations. Our past potlucks have included some interesting and delectable dishes such as green rice (garden fresh cilantro, garlic, mint, and EVOO), cheese balls, vegan cupcakes, chili made from a seasoned family recipe, fresh salads with yummy homemade dressings, vegetable quiche and more!

A Slash Root fan favorite, Sekanjabin will be playing some traditional Turkish and Middle Eastern music. You can learn some new belly dancing moves too with some talented professional belly dancers. You won't be able to resist dancing and jiving with us.

The name Sekanjabin comes from a delicious mint beverage that has been enjoyed by people dating back to Ancient Rome. It is made by boiling down lots of organic sugar, lots of locally harvested mint, and a little vinegar. It makes a highly concentrated, sweet drink that you dilute with water and serve over ice with a fresh twig of mint as a garnish. Try it at our Full Moon Celebration!

We will also be showcasing the creation from our Art Party and will welcome additions to the piece.

The full moon is a time of bountiful celebration and rejoicing what we have.
