Companion to Beer A-Z, Part 1: Abbey Ales

In honor of the publication of The Oxford Companion to Beer, we’ve planned a series of beer events that we’ll promote over the next year. The events are going to start with ‘A’ and work their way to ‘Z’ – mirroring the format of The Companion.

With that said, the Birdsall House is proud to announce the first in a series of events inspired by the OCB: “Companion to Beer, Part 1: Abbey Beers”. Abbey Beers seemed fitting as the kick-off event as it is the first entry in the book which also happens to be written by Mr. Oliver.

Please join us on Wednesday, December 14th at 6pm for the inaugural “Companion to Beer” event. For this first event we will be raffling off a “Brooklyn Box Set”, which includes a copy of the book and a rare bottle of The Companion – a wheat wine brewed at Brooklyn Brewery to commemorate the publication of the OCB.
