2nd Annual Black Dirt Feast

Pine Island, NY - Mark your calendars. On July 27th Warwick Valley's top chefs will once again gather to celebrate the collaboration between farmers and local restaurateurs. Enjoy an outstanding 5-course meal served Al Fresco style amid relaxing music and the beautiful gardens and fields of Scheuermann Farms & Greenhouses. The evening's menu will exquisitely pair locally grown produce and foods with fine wines and beverages.

The event is hosted by the Pine Island Chamber of Commerce. "The response to last year's sunset feast was amazing. Not only did we have a sell out crowd, more importantly, we raised $1,900 for the Florida Food Pantry and another $1,900 for the Farmworkers Community Center at The Alamo in Goshen," said Chamber President Sue Wilk. "We are looking forward to another successful From Farm to Table evening."

The 10,000 acre "Black Dirt" region, which accumulated over thousands of years through wet and dry cycles, is home to numerous farms whose products are served on family tables and at fine restaurants throughout the region and regularly sold at New York City's Five Star restaurants and Union Square Farmers Market.

Tickets will go on sale in May. The Chamber is currently seeking sponsors at this time.
